New technologies for flow measurement

 The team conducts research to develop, improve and validate innovative and even alternative river measurement technologies, in order to support and promote their operational use, in particular :

  •  hydro-acoustic profilers (ADCP) for the measurement and monitoring of river discharges: Le Coz et al, 2008a, 2008b

  •  acoustic inversion, and single-frequency (ADCP) and multi-frequency (ABS) acoustic backscatter systems for measuring concentrations of fine particles and suspended sand in rivers: Moore et al. (2012, 2013), Vergne et al. (2020, 2021, 2023), Marggraf et al. (submitted)
